2019 MANAC 01 CUSTOM TOURER
This open tourer has only recently been built as a one off road registered tourer, that emulates the power and the looks of the high powered sports racing cars of the 70’s.
Fitted with a brand new 4.9 Litre (302ci) Ford Mustang EFI engine, it is mated to a 5 speed Audi gearbox, driving the rear wheels via a Quaff LSD differential and delivering approximately 427bhp (318Kw) @ 6300rpm. Considering a light weight construction body of 800kgs, consisting of fibreglass over a tubular steel frame, the power to weight ratio would be amazing.

Certificate of Exemption issued by SA Govt Dept. of Planning and Infrastructure to allow road use, states the following:-
Fitted with a glass reinforced Manac body to a steel tubular frame
Fitted with a 4.9 Ford Mustang EFI engine modified to operate on LP Gas with a Motec fuel management system and eight throttle bodies.
Fitted with manufactured front and rear suspensions incorporating Mitsubishi hubs and 300mm x 28mm Mitsubishi 380 disc brakes and calipers.
Fitted with a Mitsubishi Colt steering column connected to a Triumph TR6 rack pinion steering assembly and an OMP steering wheel.
Fitted with Sparco Sprint seats and ELR lap/sash seat belts.
Fitted with 8′ x 17′ rims to the front axle with 33mm positive offset and 235/40/R17 tyres.
Fitted with 10′ x 18′ rims to the rear axle with 36mm positive offset with 305/35/R18 tyres.
All appropriate ADR considerations satisfied.
Altogether, this car makes quite a statement and would be a considerable car to drive on the road.
