2018 ALPINE A110 PREMIER EDITION COUPE (MY19) – BUILD # 47 OF 60
The Alpine A110 is a sports car produced by French automobile manufacturer Alpine from 1961 to 1977. The car was styled as a “Berlinette”, which in the post-WWII era refers to a small enclosed two-door Berline, better-known as a coupĂ©.
The Alpine A110 succeeded the earlier A108. The car was powered by a succession of Renault engines. A modern iteration of the A110 was introduced in 2017 developed under Renault-Nissan partnership.
The breed is synonymous with French and European rallying history and is geared for top performance with a mid engine, light weight design.
This particular example was sold new by Brighton Alpine in Melbourne to its first and only Adelaide owner on the 7th of January 2019.
First service was completed in Adelaide by Eurosport Automotive of Kent Town on the 4th of February 2020.
It presents in a French Alpine Blue metallic paintwork and trimmed in black & blue with Sabelt racing style seats.
Powered by a 1.8Lt 4 cylinder turbo engine, mounted just forward of the rear axle, it delivers its power to the rear wheels via a Getrag 7 speed dual clutch auto transmission. Power from that engine is rated at 185Kw and 320Nm of power and torque.
Performance is very exciting for such a small car, 0-100kph in 4.5 secs and a governed top where permitted of 250kph.
Every bit a race car feel, but designed for the road, these vehicles are quite rare and particularly in Australia.
