2016 RCR SLC – SUPERLITE COUPE
This amazing car started life in Fraser, Michigan USA and was an aluminium space frame chassis #RCRSLC05216051316 built by Race Car Replicas (RCR) in 2016. It has a composite fibreglass one piece shell and is presented here with Grey exterior paint and a fabulous orange leather interior. Australian fit out was completed in 2018.
A full engineer’s report from MVE (Modified Vehicle Engineering) in Salisbury SA dated 25th of March 2019, is held for this vehicle and confirms the following:-

Engine
The engine is a naturally aspirated 2017 Holden 6.2 Lite LS3 with operating on un-leaded fuel. The engine remains standard and the manufacturer’s rated power output is 317Kw. The standard ECU and all emission control devices have been retained. As such, engine exhaust emissions are expected to remain unchanged from standard. The engine was designed to meet ADR79/04 which exceeds the requirements of an ICV build. As such, engine emissions are considered acceptable.
Transmission
The gearbox is a Porsche speed manual with an aftermarket shifter
Chassis design
The chassis is fabricated from tubular aluminium welded with bolt-on tubular roll over frame. The one-piece fibreglass body unit is fitted over the outer faces of the chassis and retained with adhesive and “pop” rivets.
Chassis torsional stiffness was tested by Timothy Bartop on an identical SLC chassis. Torsional rigidity was found to be 956Nm/deg and a beaming deflection of 0.4mm was measured. This is considered acceptable for a vehicle of its size, mass and power. A copy of the report was included with the vehicle kit and a copy is held by this office.
This car has been been fully tested and deemed roadworthy in South Australia, all of its paperwork is held to assist road worthiness in other states.
We are not aware of the performance figures, however when you consider the above information and its power to weight ratio, it will be a considerable weapon. The current owner has never tracked or competed in the car, so it is being placed on the market with his mixed feelings.
