The smooth turbine-like horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine (naturally aspirated) delivers 195kW (265bhp) and a top speed of 265km/h – maximum engine rpm is 7500 (superb sound too). More importantly, the low centre of gravity and mid-mounted engine ensure the Cayman will leave most cars in its wake through sections of winding road. This is a serious sports car but is also well-suited for everyday driving because it is so easy to get in and out. It also has a luggage space in both the front and rear.
