1999 HONDA S2000 CONVERTIBLE MANUAL – ADELAIDE DELIVERED
The Honda S2000 is an open top sports car that was manufactured by Japanese automobile manufacturer Honda, from 1999 to 2009.
First shown as a concept car at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1995, the production version was launched on April 15, 1999 to celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary. The S2000 is named for its engine displacement of two liters, carrying on in the tradition of the S500, S600, and S800 roadsters of the 1960s.
Presenting in Silver Grey with black interior trim, it was delivered new by Formula Honda of Adelaide on the 29th of October 1999.
It has an impressive Honda dealership service record and most recently completed in 2019 and will be freshly serviced for delivery.
Powered by a 2.0 Litre 4 cylinder engine, it produces 177Kw and 208Nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 6 speed manual gearbox. Performance was exciting at 0-100kph in just 6.2 secs and a top speed of 240kph, making it one of the most exciting and quick reasonably priced sportscars of the 90’s. With that performance and Honda’s well respected reliability, it makes for an irresistible drive.
Notable features include independent double wishbone suspension, electrically assisted steering and integrated roll hoops.
This will make a perfect weekend car to enjoy on sunny days for a drive through the hills, but also very capable of handling wet weather with a modern powered roof design allowing quick roof operation, unlike sportscars of the 60’s.
