The Chevrolet Corvette (C4) is the fourth generation of the Corvette sports car, produced by American automobile manufacturer Chevrolet from 1983 until 1996.
With a completely new chassis, modern sleeker styling, and other improvements to the model, prices rose and sales declined. The last
C4 was produced on June 20, 1996. So this example is one of the last C4 Corvettes to be made in 1996.
We hold a copy of the Australian Import Approval # 20744/19 dated the 23rd of April 1997.
RHD conversion completed by SA Car Conversions of Salisbury Plains SA 5109 on the 7th of December 2000.
Registration for SA road use completed on the 13th of December 2000. SA Dept of Transport Approval #12845 and Plate # 60245.
Powered by a 5.7 Litre V8 engine, it produced when new 223.5Kw and 454Nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 4 speed 700R4 auto transmission. Performance figures suggest 0-100kph in 6.5 secs and a top speed near 265kph.
This car has had constant service attention since residing in South Australia, we hold evidence of most of that attention.
Just recently it has had 4 new tyres fitted and the customary wheel alignment, together with a service from Dreamworks Garage of Marleston SA on the 8th of June 2023 at 19,090miles.
