1986 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA COUPE – 46,284 MILES (74,054 KMS)
This 911 Carrera was delivered new in Hong Kong on the 24th of April 1986 and presents beautifully in Garnet Red Metallic paintwork with Wine Red leather interior.
It was imported into Australia some years ago and has the original books and service record attesting to its on going care both in Hong Kong and Australia.
Interestingly, the Hong Kong delivery of Porsche’s in the 1980’s includes a page in the service record for speedo changes. This must be a Hong Kong Government requirement for all cars sold in that market. So in fact, the speedo was changed on the 16th of March 2002 @ 33829 miles, it has now a mileage on the clock of 12455, making a total mileage of 46,284 miles. This is all logged clearly in the service book.
The 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera was fitted with a 3.2 Litre boxer air cooled engine and mated to a 5 speed short shift manual gearbox. Producing 149Kw and 251Nm of power, the car was capable of 0-100kph in 6.7 secs and a top speed of 235kph which in 1986 was fast and still very respectable today.
