1982 PORSCHE 911SC CABRIOLET
This car is understood to be the very first air cooled Right Hand Drive 911 Cabriolet for the world. As such, it is also the first Cabriolet chassis to be imported into Australia, today with original paint, matching numbers, mechanically rebuilt, pristine interior and all original in condition and presentation, a landmark local Australian Porsche and a very rare opportunity to secure a desirable and collectable air cooled Porsche which is an entry ticket to all the best Porsche Club and Porsche Cars Australia events Australia wide.
Being the first to arrive in Australia of its type, it has featured at several Porsche events as a guest of Porsche Cars Australia, which included being invited to the Rennsport 2016 "Porschestrasse" tent featuring factory race cars and all the other local, special competition and road model Porsches.
Powered by a 3.0 Litre 6 cylinder boxer engine, it produces 150Kw and 267Nm of power and torque, via a 5 speed manual gear box, giving excellent performance figures of 0-100kph in 6.8 secs and a top speed near 235kph.
This is the first Australian 911 RHD Cabriolet as confirmed by Porsche, build/chassis number is 112 from the initial production batch of Cabriolet production in October 1982. It was the first Cabriolet body style by Porsche to be imported into Australia after the last 356 Cabriolet was sold in 1965, an eighteen year hiatus for a Cabriolet Porsche.
