Presenting in what we believe is Yellow Devil with tan fabric interior trim. Amazingly, mostly original paint except for the driver’s door and LHR quarter.
We hold a copy of Octane Magazine from December 2016 suggesting on the front cover “How a 4 x 4 became the year’s most collectable classic”. We also hold a large paper file of receipts and documents relating to it’s Australian history.
Delivered new on the 8th of July 1981 by Land Rover specialists at the time, J.E.Allen Pty Ltd of Old Northern Rd Dural NSW. We hold a copy of that original invoice.
Powered by a 3.5 Litre Rover V8 engine, it produced when new 92.5Kw and 258Nm of power and torque, delivered to an AWD system via a 4 speed manual gearbox. Performance figures quoted at the time were 0-100kph in 16.6 secs and a top speed near 160kph. range Rovers were not known for straight line performance as much as their amazing ability to tackle off road conditions and rugged terrain.
Now highly collectable in 2 door mode, this car is eligible for Historic registration in most jurisdictions, making on road costs minimal.
Ideal as a family tourer, to compete in classic car events, shows or perhaps a horse trial somewhere rural.
