1977 MAZDA 929 HARDTOP COUPE – MANUAL
Presenting in Honey Brown with brown interior trim.
An amazingly original example which has been in the one family ownership until very recently.
The current owner has supplied the following information about this car and it’s best that we let him describe it.
“One owner car came from a deceased estate.
The original owner was apparently 91 when he passed and the family sold the car.
It is an original untouched, unrestored car, displaying it’s superb original factory paint and would be arguably the best original example of its type in Australia.
It was fully treated for rust prevention by ‘Endrust’ when new, testament to it’s rust free state today.
Interior is all totally original, carpets and trim, steering wheel, all in pristine condition, including the working original factory AM radio, original factory fitted inbuilt very rare windscreen antenna which is still there in the original windscreen.
The car has 31,800 or so kilometres on it which is believed to be genuine as the underside displays the original yellow factory paint markings on the suspension components which are still evident.
It has been garaged all it’s life.
The cars condition in my opinion supports the kilometres on the odometer reading.
The windows are etched with the RAA anti theft protection system from new and as the RAA is still in existence I would suggest the lifetime protection would still apply.
All the windows are scratch free and operate as they should. Rubbers are supple and undamaged.
The original Japanese ‘Koito’ headlight sealed beams from factory are still there.

The owner ahs also fitted a 5 speed manual gearbox to the vehicle to give it longer legs on the open road, effectively making 5th gear an overdrive. The original 4 speed gearbox is of course still available and goes with the car if required by the new owner.
Original spare wheel and jack are in the boot covered by the pristine original boot mat.
Recently the clutch master cylinder was replaced and the brakes have just been completely refurbished with re sleeved rear wheel cylinders, rebuilt callipers and new brake linings and fresh fluid.
The car is a superb original unmolested time capsule from 1977 and is a very reliable turn key vehicle which I am very confident could not be surpassed in condition and originality.
Certainly a Mazda Coupe worth your consideration.
