Presenting in Persian Sand with tan coloured fabric interior.

We hold an original LH Torana handbook dated April 1974, but are not sure if it's the book issued with this when delivered new.

Powered originally by a 2.8 Litre 6 cylinder engine, it produced when released 88Kw and 228Nm of power and torque, delivered to the
rear wheels via a 4 speed manual gearbox. Performance claimed at the time was 0-100kph in 12.1 secs and a top speed near 160kph.

Apart from the initial owner of the car, this vehicle has been in the one family for nearly 39 years and the present owner has written the
following story which will assist a future owner. He has also supplied a large folder of receipts for much of the work completed over the

"My wife Le-Anne purchased the car from Lyndock Motors in Lyndock from her uncle Graham Ahrens in 1983 as a wholesale favour for
her father Mick Ahrens.

Le-Anne’s father Mick worked at Repco as a engine builder. You will see a number of invoices in his name. As he could get staff discount ,
many parts were purchased through him.

So "Torrie" has been in the family for 39 years

In 1993, we were going to sell the car to update. But Le-Anne couldn’t let it go , so it was decided that we would keep and refresh the

The rebuild took about 6 months and was completed that year. After that she drove it for a couple weeks but was afraid to leave it
parked at work. So another car was purchased

The Torana ended up on blocks under a car cover at our home basically un-driven until late last year

Since it had been sitting for a long while we sent the Torana to Hamilton Holden for a complete check up and replaced all the fluids, the
invoice is in the file. Also replaced the tyres as the set that was on her were too old.

We always intended to keep the car, but once we got her back home it quickly became apparent to us that the love had gone and
decided that the Torana needed to go to a new home."

That second has now been replaced by a third engine now in the car, being a 235ci (3.8 Litre) 6 cylinder engine and we have a document
from the engine builder, APE Engines of Bennett St Dandenong Vic as to its exact specifications.

So the original engine specifications and performance figures will no doubt have changed and been improved upon.

Altogether, a very tidy LH Torana worthy of your attention.
