Alfa Romeo and design house Bertone worked together to produce a show car for Canada’s Expo 67 in Montreal, which is where the model name started from.
After rave reviews, Alfa Romeo decided to build their car and fit a version of their quad-cam V8 racing engine. It has mechanical fuel injection, dry sump, limited slip differential and other high specifications.
Powered by a 2.6 Litre quad cam V8 engine, it produced when new 171.6Kw and 235Nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 5 speed manual gearbox. Performance figures released at the time suggested 0-100kph in 7.6 secs and a top speed near 220kph.
