We hold the original handbook which tells us it was delivered new on the 4th of August 1973. Also held is a dealer and distributor pamphlet and an original sales brochure.

The Jensen Interceptor is a grand touring car which was hand-built at the Kelvin Way Factory in West Bromwich, near Birmingham in England, by Jensen Motors between 1966 and 1976.
The Interceptor name had been used previously by Jensen for the Jensen Interceptor made between 1950 and 1957 at the Carters Green factory.
Jensen had extensively used glass-reinforced plastic for the fabrication of body panels in the preceding two decades, but the new Interceptor saw a return to a steel body-shell.
The body was designed by an outside firm, Carrozzeria Touring of Italy, rather than the in-house staff. The early bodies were built in Italy by Vignale, before Jensen took production in house, making some subtle body modifications.
The series III Interceptor was powered by a Chrysler 7.2Lt (440ci) V8 engine, it produced when new 246Kw and 664Nm of power and torque, delivered this energy to the rear wheels via a 3 speed Torque Flite automatic transmission. Performance at the time of release suggests 0-100kph in 5.6 secs and a top speed near 228kph. Quite a grand tourer in it’s days and now rarely seen on the roads.
A great classic car to enjoy for classic drives, car events and shows. Eligible for Historic registration in most jurisdictions, this equates to minimal on road costs.
