1971 MGB BL ROADSTER + O/DRIVE 84,865 MILES SHOWING

Presenting in Crystal White with black interior trim, this MGB was built at the British Leyland plant at Zetland, Sydney NSW in April 1971.

The Australian built cars were constructed (CKD) Completely Knocked Down, supplied by (BL) British Leyland UK in that form to reduce import tariffs at the time.

Early history of the car is not available, however the present SA owner has owned this car for quite some time and in recent years it has had very little use.

Powered by a 1.8 Litre 4 cylinder B series engine, it produces 70.8Kw and 150Nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 4 speed manual gearbox together with electric overdrive on 3rd and 4th gears, so in effect a six ratio gearbox. Performance quoted when released in the 70’s was 0-100kph in 12.7 secs and top speed near 170kph.

Driving an MGB is not so much about performance but more about the fun of driving one of the best known classic sportscars of all time and just enjoying the wind in your hair and the open road.

This example presents well for it’s age and will be an ideal car to enjoy classic car runs, events, shows or even just a drive through the country on a sunny day. Equipped with a full tonneau cover, as well as a soft top, so the car is equipped for all kinds of weather.

Eligible for Historic registration in most jurisdictions, this equates to minimal on road costs.

We can arrange transport door to door Australia wide.
