1971 CITROEN ID21F SAFARI - MANUAL - 1815 MILES SHOWING
Unconventional, futuristic and very French and very rare in the Southern Hemisphere.
Presenting in Grey over Gris Sable (Golden Sand). We hold what appears to be the original handbook and a workshop manual covering Citroens of this era.
A fabulous French design with that sophisticated hydraulic system that provides the magic carpet ride the D's are renowned for. Nick- named the "Citroen Goddess", they are now rare and highly collectable and an art form on wheels. This design also features the inner headlights that turn with steering wheel, allowing you to see around corners, amazing technology for the early 70's.
The amazing hydraulic system works very well and the car rises and falls quickly.
This example was delivered new in Victoria, the present owner purchased the car in 2010 and then proceeded to restore it to it's present condition. He has supplied the following information on its progress:-

Original specifications suggest 2.0Lt 4 cylinder engine, producing 67Kw and 146Nm of power and torque, delivered to the front wheels via a 4 speed manual gearbox. Performance quoted at the time was not so much about speed, but how comfortably you reached your destination. Times were 0-100kph in 15.5 secs and a top speed near 170kph.
With two strapontins (Dicky seats) in the rear compartment, this vehicle will carry a family of seven.
Altogether, a very classy French classic that is bound to turns heads and would be ideal for classic car tours, events, show or just a picnic French style alongside your favourite country road. If you don't have young children occupying the strapontins at the rear, you can use the space for their feet to put an Esky full of French champagne, on ice of course. Only way to picnic!
Eminently eligible for Historic registration in most jurisdictions, this means minimal on road costs.
We can arrange transport door to door Australia wide.
