1970 FORD MUSTANG MACH 1 351 FASTBACK – AUTO – 9273 MILES SHOWING
Built at the Ford plant in Dearborn, Michigan USA in March 1970, this car presents very well in bright yellow with complimentary black interior trim.
Imported to Australia in early 2015, it comes with all the appropriate import documentation and lots of paperwork relating to it’s history.
The documentation file tells us that it has had fastidious owners including its current South Australian owner.
Powered by a 351ci (5.8Litre) 4 Barrel V8 engine, it produced when new 186.5Kw and 481Nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 3 speed auto transmission. Performance was muscular in the 70’s and still respectable today at 0-100kph in 8.3 secs and a top speed near 206kph.
The current owner has supplied the following:-
Engine rebuild completed in May 2015 and now features a Crow camshaft #21669, dual plane intake manifold and current power estimate of 332Kw and 556Nm of power and torque. This work was completed by respected engineers in Melbourne, Torque Converter Engineering of Ringwood.
Diff ratio currently 3.7 to 1
Transmission was overhauled in July 2015
After considerable expense and effort, this car has passed it’s SA roadworthy examination in March 2021 and now enjoys Historic registration and should enjoy similar schemes interstate, which relates to minimal on road costs.
