The Pontiac Firebird is an American automobile built and produced by Pontiac from the 1967 to 2002 model years.
Designed as a pony car to compete with the Ford Mustang, it was introduced on February 23, 1967, five months after GM’s Chevrolet division’s platform-sharing Camaro.
This also coincided with the release of the 1967 Mercury Cougar, Ford’s upscale, platform-sharing version of the Mustang. The name “Firebird” was also previously used by GM for the General Motors Firebird series of concept cars in the 1950s.

Powered by a 353.8ci (5.8Lt) V8 engine, it produced when new 197.5kw and 515Nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 2 speed auto transmission. Performance figures at the time of release suggested 0-100kph in 11.2 secs and a top speed near 215kph.
Featuring factory air conditioning and very effective powering steering, it makes driving in all conditions a pleasure.
Apart from an exterior colour change, this example is in very good and original condition.
