Quite rare these days, a Falcon 500 V8 in light metallic blue with complimentary black trim.
Background to the car is not available, apart from some recent attention given to the car by Falcon and Mustang specialists, Plowman Restorations of Lonsdale SA.
Powered by a 289ci (4.7Lt) V8 engine, it produces 149Kw and 382Nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 3 speed transmission. Performance quoted in the 60’s was 0-100kph in 9.9 secs and a top speed near 175kph.
The transmission has been changed to a LE C4 transmission, operated by a floor mounted B & M shifter and connected to a Borg warner 8″ differential from an XT Falcon.
Currently enjoying Historic registration in SA, it would be eligible for similar schemes in other states and territories, meaning minimal on road costs.
