One of the original hero cars from the 60’s with a Hurst shifter 4 on the floor manual coupled to the 389 cubic inch (6.5 litre) V8 engine. This manual coupe is still in Blue Charcoal metallic with eye-catching Parchment interior – a copy of the original data sheet and car billing history comes with the GTO. The only non-original modification is the current 3 x 2 barrel carburettor Tripower set-up (originally a single 4 barrel unit).
This fabulous GTO is in excellent condition and comes with all the relevant paperwork associated with it’s recent importation from Connecticut in 2013.
Currently on Historic Registration in South Australia, the GTO would make a perfect addition to someone’s garage and provide fabulous summer cruising. It attracts very positive attention when on the road from those who recognise one of the ‘hot’ cars from the 60s.
It is said the 1966 model is the most collectable GTO, fetching over USD60,000 for a great example in the USA.
