A matching numbers vehicle. One of only 1237 produced at Tonsley Park in Adelaide.
This is a 3rd owner vehicle.
Original vehicle had only travelled approximately 47,000 miles prior to extended storage and later full rotisserie restoration over more
than 10 years with the second owner. Fully rebuilt and enhanced drivetrain and mechanicals. Finished in ‘Salamanca Red’ 2 pack paint
with tan leather interior trim.
The original motor and transmission has been fully rebuild, with recent unleaded head work by Rehmac Engines and Engine Worx.
Neville Smith Dyno paperwork is held to support this work. A very healthy total of improvement expenses has recently been paid to
bring the car to its current condition.
The differential has been recently upgraded to 4 pinion LSD, complete with girdle for extra strength and oil capacity, running the original
3.23 gear ratio by Boss Differentials.
The vehicle has been upgraded to maximise road enjoyment, safety, comfort and reliability, it has been respectfully modified to include;
• Seat belts for 3, Boosted vented disc brakes on the front
• Fuel injection, Electronic Ignition, Electric Water pump
• Air conditioning, heating, ‘retro sound’ hidden streaming stereo and hands free
• Engine performance and economy improvements from higher compression, ported head, long runner intake manifold, ceramic
coated pacemaker extractors and custom 2.5-3 inch mandrel bent exhaust with stainless mufflers.
Powered by a 225ci (3.7Lt) slant 6 engine, it produced when new 145 bhp (108.13 kW) at 4400rpm and Torque: 215 lb-ft (291.17Nm),
delivered to the rear wheels via a 3 speed Torque flight auto transmission.
Original parts changed on the vehicle are also included and reversible for the purist.
A very nice Valiant to enjoy cruising, reliable and economical, ideal for summer and winter cruises, car events and shows.
Eligible for Historic registration in most jurisdictions, this equates to minimal on road costs.
