Built at Ford's Broadmeadows, Melbourne plant in November 1965.

Delivered new by Beck Motors of North Geelong, Victoria.

Presenting in the original Gold colour with new beige interior trim.

XP Fairmonts in this condition are quite rare these days and this car is indeed a very nice example.

Powered by a 221ci (3.6Lt) 6 cylinder engine which was replaced by the Ford dealer after the original engine block was damaged in a workshop accident. Current power and performance figures are not known, however with a slight increase in capacity to the original 200ci engine, the driver enjoys more power and torque. The power is delivered to the rear wheels via a 3 speed Borg Warner 35 transmission.

Subject of a restoration in recent years, the interior trim was completed by Nigel Finlayson of Victoria and that work included new hood lining, carpets, seats re trimmed and new rubbers fitted throughout.

The car features it's original valve radio in working condition, a fully operational heater and of course quarter windows which allow lots of fresh air into the cabin.

The current owner tells us the original Victorian number plate is available if required , as it the original steering wheel and hub caps.

The current wheels are after market period correct Magnum wheels made by Sampson Engineering of Adelaide.

The suspension has been re bushed and all steering and suspension components carefully inspected. The front shock absorbers are new gas type and the rear ones air bag type.

This car is eminently eligible for Historic registration in most jurisdictions, which makes on road costs minimal.

Available to inspect on our state of the art showroom floor in Adelaide.
