1961 LANCIA FLAMINIA – MANUAL COUPE

The Flaminia’s engine was an evolution of the world’s first production V6, which was introduced in the Aurelia. It had increased bore and decreased stroke. The engines were mounted longitudinally, powering the rear wheels through a 4-speed rear-mounted transaxle.

This example presents in a blueish silver metallic with superb red leather trim. It has been in the one South Australian ownership since the early 70s, a long and cherished association in a very dry climate.

Powered by that historic second generation V6 engine of 2.5Lt, it drives via the 4 speed manual gearbox to the rear wheels with 87.5Kw and 186Nm of power and torque. Performance figures of the time were quoted as 0-100kph in 14.4 secs and a top speed near 170kph.

This Pininfarina styled Italian coupe has glamour written all over it, Lancia’s top of the range in the 60’s, it would have been a very desirable vehicle for the well to do Italian to own.
