1960 VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE 1200 KARMANN CABRIOLET – LHD
A very stylish and cute Karmann Cabriolet which will make a perfect classic cruiser come the spring and summer weather.
In 1948, Wilhelm Karmann bought a VW beetle and proceeded to make a convertible from it. He presented his design to VW in Wolfsburg and they liked it so much, it was put into production as a Karmann Cabriolet. The design lasted until 1980 after which, over 330,000 cabriolets were produced. This early example is however, quite rare.
It features a rather rare cane parcel shelf under the dashboard, which was a genuine VW accessory in the 60’s.
If you love early Beetles, this is definitely one to consider.
Currently Historically registered in SA and most probably eligible for similar schemes in other states, it makes a very desirable classic car to enjoy for car events and cruises.
