1959 MGA 1500 ROADSTER – 21966 MILES ON THE CLOCK
This MGA was built CKD in Zetland NSW in 1959 and comes in an Australian only colour of Billeroy Blue together with black seats and white piping.
It is wearing a period correct Motalita woodrim steering wheel, however comes with an original steering wheel, chrome wire wheels and a hard top. It also comes with the traditional soft top and tonneau cover, so several modes of driving to enjoy.
Powered by a B series BMC engine of 1500cc, it produced when new 53Kw and 105Nm of power, delivered to the rear wheels via 4 speed manual gearbox. Performance figures were 0-100kph in just over 16.0 secs and a top speed near 160kph, but the MGA wasn’t about out and out performance, the sales catch phrase was “Safety Fast” which sums it up and the classic shape is what everyone loves. Eligible for Historic registration in most jurisdictions, a perfect way to enjoy classic motoring with minimal on road costs.
