As mentioned, this Aston has been loved, driven and maintained in several parts of the world. It’s first owner was Mr. Pat Thomas and delivered to him in March 1954. He used this car as his daily driver for many years in the UK, before it was sold to it’s second owner in Singapore, where it was used also as a daily driver and also competed in two Singapore Shell rallies. Part of the huge collection of paperwork history relates to these two first owners and gives a detailed account of it’s use and maintenance. A letter between the first two owners is worth reading alone!

One letter from the original owner describes a family holiday in this Aston with two children in the back seats with all the luggage in the boot while touring down the Mediterranean Coast through Italy and the into France which even included a lap of the great Le Mans circuit.

A previous owner (who is sadly now deceased) bought the car to Australia around the year 2000 and not long after began a painstaking process of complete restoration. Unfortunately, his failing health did not allow him to complete the job, so the project was handed to the very respected SA restorer, Gerard Miller at Marque Restorations. The restoration process and fit out was completed in November 2017 and is absolutely stunning. Sadly, the owner passed away before the final fit out was completed, so he wasn’t able to enjoy the total satisfaction of all his years of effort.

The present owner has decided to sell the car, so it is looking for a new owner to continue it’s love and attention.

If ever there was a car of fine investment quality that would grace the very best collection, this is the one.
