1950 VAUXHALL VELOX CALECHE TOURER – MANUAL – 62,893 MILES SHOWING

Built by General Motors Holden at a time when the first Holden 48/215 FX was being built, but not in tourer form.

Vauxhall of course were the GM product of the UK and only a few of these Caleche Tourers were built for the Australian market and very few survive today.

This example presents in Dark Red with Dark Red leather interior trim.

We hold a period correct owner’s manual dated January 1949 which helps to understand both of the Wyvern and Velox models of the time.

We hold some paperwork relating to it’s past which suggests a history in both WA and NSW prior to coming to South Australia.

This car is powered by a 2.2Lt 6 cylinder 18hp engine, delivered to the rear wheels via a 3 speed “on the tree” manual gearbox. Maximum speed advertised in the early 50’s suggest 74mph or near 120kph.

A tidy example with a lot of character which would suit someone who loves Vauxhalls and classic car events.

Eligible for Historic registration in most jurisdictions, this equates to minimal on road costs.

Available to inspect on our showroom floor in Adelaide.

We can arrange transport door to door Australia wide.

Finance – our broker offers VERY competitive rates and prompt service.

We welcome the opportunity to consider your trade in.
